About the South of France

Languedoc - is located to the west of Provence and north of the Spanish border. It is a region of stunning natural beauty with delightful sandy beaches and rolling hillsides. Main cities include Montpelier, Nimes and Perpignan. The coastline is sheltered by mountains and provides a typically Mediterranean climate, rarely freezing in winter, and enjoying average high summer temperatures of nearly 30 C (86F). Languedoc is a very popular region for those seeking an investment due to its lower property prices as compared to the rest of the South. [Learn More]

Midi-Pyrenees- is located in south-central France north of the Spanish border. Made famous by Toulouse-Lautrec, the region offers contrasting landscapes and opportunities for skiiing. Life in this part of France is generally more affordable than other parts of the south. [Learn More]

Provence - is often characterised by its hilltop villages overlooking the Mediterranean Sea or by its famous port city of Marseille. It has historically been a rural region dominated by farmland or vineyards, but also coveted by poets, writers and artists like Paul Cézanne for its beautiful scenery and mysterious mistral. Here, there is an abundant demand for farmhouses, either ruins or recently abandoned, ready for renovation. Provence’s village markets have made famous its “herbes de provence” where garlic, olive oil, basil, onions, help to flavour its vegetables of sunshine: tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines. Major cities not to miss are Marseille, Avignon, Arles, Nimes, Aix-en-Provence, and Orange. [Learn More]

Cote 'dAzur - or the French Riviera, has some of the best known beaches and resorts in the world including Nice and Cannes. The cities and coastline abound with first class hotels, fashionable restaurants, boutiques, and luxury houses. [Learn More]
