Ylläs is renowned as one of Finland’s best and most extensive ski areas for both alpine and cross-country skiing available from November to May. The resort provides many excursions including:

HOW TO GET THERE

Numerous charter flights are available from UK Airports to Kittila Airport in Finland. Yllas is approx 1 hour from the airport. Finnair (www.finnair.com) and Blue 1 discount airline (www.blue1.com) also have convenient flights connecting in Helsinki for Kittila Airport. Transfers are available from Kittila airport.
 
CLIMATE
There is snow from November to May. Lapland is mild in summer with temperatures reaching 20°C and snowy in winter. Lapland’s crisp dry type of cold is quite comfortable as long as good protective winter clothing is worn. Temperatures range from -12°C in December to -9°C in March.
