The
village of Dalyan is situated on
a river, the centre of a broad
delta, surrounded by rustling reeds
and lush green fields below spectacular
mountain ranges. Dalyan is a naturists
paradise some of the widest variety
of wildlife to be found in Turkey,
including some species of birds
not found elsewhere in the
world.
It is home to one of the few
remaining beaches in the Mediterranean
where Caretta
turtles still lay their eggs.
Outside the town is the remains
of the ancient city of Caunos – the
2nd most significant archaeological
site in Turkey
Dalyan can truly claim to be a
region of outstanding
natural beauty and historic interest.
