Property on the Black Sea Coast, Bulgaria
|
|
Demand
for property along the Black Sea Coast with its two
airports of Varna and Borgas is rapidly increasing
in line with its popularity as a holiday destination
for Europeans.
The improved economic conditions alongside political
and social stability in Bulgaria continue to push
property prices upward. Many areas of the coastal regions
are
already being developed and as a consequence you
will expect to pay higher prices closer to the Black
Sea.
Average land prices have increased in the past few
years by more than 50 % with the peak
prices near the popular beach resorts. Data shows the increase
in real
estate property prices in Burgas and Varna to be
by some 17% higher than the average for the country.

About
the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast
|
 |
 |
| |
The
Black Sea Coast offers an attractive
seaside holiday for rest and
recreation. The sunshine record
is exceptional - nearly 300 days
of sunshine the yearly average.
Situated in southeastern Europe,
Bulgaria occupies the northeastern
part of the Balkan Peninsula.
The main attraction of the Bulgarian
seaside is its variety of nature
with over 100 areas declared
protected areas and nature reserves.
The coast combines perfect beaches
with crystal clear and warm water.
To the south, the coast flattens
and the thick forests of the
Strandzha mountain contrast breathtakingly
with hundreds of cozy beaches
between the jutting rocks. Toward
the north end of the coast, the
mountains seem to role steeply
into the sea and the thick forests
offer cool relief during the
hot summers. The coast here though
steeper it is more developed
in terms of tourism facilities.
The north boasts a concentration
of key tourist destinations such
as the sea resorts of Albena,
Zlatni Pyasatsi, Slanchev Bryag
and the Bulgarian Riviera.
Various
opportunities exist for climate
and balneo-treatment, yachting,
surfing, water skiing, diving,
underwater fishing, other aquatic
sports and diverse types of
entertainment. As there
is no tide the sea is ideal
for diving and swimming.
Varna,
sometimes referred to as the
gem of the Bulgarian Black Sea,
is situated at the end of the
big Varna Bay. It is 469 km north-east
of Sofia and a popular seaside
resort, providing easy access
to water sports, environmental,
cultural and other activities.
The annual "Varna Summer" music
festival is the climax of the
national cultural calendar though
there are other festivals throughout
the year including a folk festival
in August and an international
festival of cinema in September.
Varna provides access to some
of the quieter scenic spots along
the coast, including the nature
reserve of Kamchiya, the royal
palace of Balchik and the hillside
monastery of Aladzha. North of
Varna there is a cluster of seaside
resorts the largest Golden Sands,
from which the last foothills
of the Balkan range reach down
to the sea. For history lovers,
the ancient town of Nessabar
rivals the charm of Sozopol for
its well-preserved remains from
ancient times. |
