Alanya
is a modern resort about one and
a half hours from the Antalya International.
airport. It is positioned between
two wonderful beaches and against
the spectacular backdrop of the
Taurus Mountains.
In the old town of is found many
old houses, towers and mosques,
as well as a small harbour. The
waterfront offers bars, tea-houses,
cafes and restaurants hosting both
international and traditional cuisine.
Less busy
than other resorts in
Turkey, the resort attracts sun-worshippers
particularly for the beaches including
Cleopatra beach.
Below the 14th Century citadel
are located a number of sea caves
most of which can only be reached
by sea. Inside are the impressive
stalactites and stalagmites in
the ‘Cape of Dripping Stones’.
