ALSACE
Alsace produces excellent dry and sweet white wines.
BORDEAUX
Bordeaux is one of the most famous wine regions in the world. This wine is
created from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. It
is smoky, spicy, tobaccoey, and great with meats.
BURGUNDY
Burgundy is a region with a collection of sub-areas. The flinty, classic Chablis
flavor is made solely with Chardonnay grapes, while the freshness of Beaujolais
Nouveau comes from the fruity Gamay.
CHABLIS
Chablis is located at the north of the Burgundy region. Chablis wine is brisk
and fruity, very dry and with a refreshing acidity.
LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON
Famous for its 5 appellations: Corbières, Coteaux du Languedoc, Côtes
du Roussillon, Saint Chinian and Costières de Nimes.
LOIRE VALLEY
The Loire Valley is most well known for its use of Sauvignon blanc, Chenin
blanc and Cabernet Franc.
PROVENCE
Over half of French rosé is produced from Provence. Rosé de Provence
are dry and fruity.
RHONE
Best known for its Hermitage wine, the Rhone Valley is well known for its spicy,
fiery red wines.
