Malaga property
prices continues to rise
A recent report by the Spanish Housing Ministry
indicated that average apartment prices in Malaga
increased by over 28% in 2004 - 10% more than
the national average. Increases for all areas
were:
- Malaga - 28%
- Valencia - 23%
- Seville - 21%
- Madrid - 20%
- Barcelona - 19%
- Zaragoza - 18%
- Asturia - 10%
- Navarra - 10%
- Canaries - 10%
The average property price per sqm in Spain
is EUR 1,614.
Spain most popular destination for overseas
property sale
48% of all British citizens seeking to buy
abroad are considering Spain, followed by France
(47%), USA (28%), Italy (27%) and Portugal (20%). LRAU Law to be replaced?
The unpopular 'land grab' regulations may be
replaced by the new Valencian LUV land registration,
to be approved by the end of 2005.
British Driving Licenses
Britons taking up residence or holidaying in
Spain are no longer required to change their
British Driving license for a Spanish license.
The new law recognises that any EU photo card
driving license is valid.
New Golf Project in Costa Blanca
New plans have been released to turn 1,800 sqm
of rustic land around Pego into a golf course
development. Within the project, over 1,500 new
properties will be built. In addition, a 5 star
hotel, 4 start holiday complex and commercial
centre are planned.
