Two new golf
courses to be developed on Black Sea Coast
Two, 18-hole, PGA-standard cousrse (designed
by Gary Player) are to be developed in Kvarna,
approx 50km from Varna International Airport
and 20km from Golden Sands. Work has already
begun and both courses are expected to be completed
by March 2006. A country club and 5 star hotel
will also be constructed.
Houses prices continue to soar
Over the third quarter of 2004 (July-September),
house prices in Bulgaria rose by over 12%. Hotspots
are:
- Smolyan - 46%
- Montana - 32%
- Blagoevgrad 25%
- Rouse - 24%
- Bourgas - 19%
- Varna - 11%
- Sofia - 5%
New law planned for foreigners buying land
The Bulgarian Parliament has recommended a change
to law enabling overseas buyers to buy Bulgarian
land. The law will enable sale of Bulgarian
land
based
uopn 3 categories:
- EU Citizens entitled to purchase land under
the Accession Treaty
- EU & Non-EU citizens entitled to land purchase
under an international treaty
- Those entitled to buy land under hereditary
law
Amendments to the current law are expected to
be voted on in April 2005.
