Area Information - Mediterranean Coastline
With its north and west borders including over 1500 kilometres of coastline, Morocco is set for continued investment and expansion as foreign investors continue to seek out value in real estate opportunities.
The current constitutional monarchy established in 1999, has recognized the benefits and worked to open up the country to foreign investment. Resident or non-resident foreigners can invest freely in all economic sectors of Morocco without any prior authorization. Foreign investments have been primarily in the areas of telecommunications, industry, bank, property and tourism. In 2004 Moroccan authorities instituted additional measures to boost foreign direct investment and trade by signing a free trade agreement with the US.
