Deutsche Börse Launches Real Estate Investment Trust Segment

The alstria office REIT-AG is the first real estate company to position itself as a REIT and to be included in the Deutsche Bourse's REITs-segment. With the successful transformation of alstia office REIT-AG, Deutsche Bourse has created an independent REIT segment as a securities class and started to calculate REIT indices.
This segment of the Deutsche Bourse raises the profile of Real Estate Investment Trusts as an asset class in Germany's stock exchange trading. Investors will now be able to easily target investment in listed companies with REIT status, and the listings offer a high degree of transparency for real estate investment.
