There’s Detroit and There’s Trnava Carmaker Peugeot Citroen opens an $890 million car factory in the small Slovak town of Trnava. Since 1989 and the fall of the Communist regimes, the Central and Eastern European countries have seen billions of dollars of investment flow in to upgrade or rebuild their sluggish auto industries.
