Currency Pegs Under Severe Pressure for Baltic Countries
Currencies of the Baltic states of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia have remained pegged to the Euro as their economies suffer from a reduction in foreign credit and waning consumer demand.

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania: Joint OMX Baltic Membership to be introduced on January 1, 2007
As of January 1, 2007, the three Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will introduce a joint OMX Baltic Membership for their stock exchanges. This pan-Baltic membership will create one point of entry, and simplify membership application and reporting across all three exchanges. The move is intended to increase attractiveness of the region to potential stock exchange investors.
