Europe’s largest low fare airline, Ryanair, today announced the introduction of eight new routes throughout Europe, including four new routes from Reus (Barcelona). Barcelona will be the home of Ryanair's third new Boeing 737-800 aircraft in the airline's expansion effort which will bring four new routes to the airport starting in June this year. The airline’s total investment in Reus airport will grow to $210million.
Ryanair’s new Reus (Barcelona) routes will operate to Bournemouth, Eindhoven, Nador and Poznan, and are forcast to support 1,000 local jobs and deliver more than €150million in tourism revenues for Reus and Catalonia.
Ryanair also announced the introduction of new routes from Bournemouth, Bremen, Faro, Limoges and London Luton.
Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said, “Ryanair continues to offer great new routes so that passengers can beat the recession...With passengers becoming increasingly price sensitive Ryanair will continue to expand so that even more passengers can take advantage of Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares and no fuel surcharges.”
